Was relieved to see there was a plug socket by my seat. My phone was already nearly dead when I got on, so being able to charge it made the trip way less stressfull.

The socket worked fine the whole way too, no messing about or cutting out. It’s a small thing but on a long coach ride it really does make a diffrence. I’d use National Express again

I used National Express last weekend it was such a relief to see actual staff at the stop instead of just being left to stare at a sign and hope for the best.
At the station, someone was checking tickets and pointing people toward the right coach, which made everything feel way less chaotic. It was busy, and I wasn’t totally sure where I was meant to wait, so having someone there probably saved me from wandering around like a lost tourist for half an hour.
The coach left without any drama and the staff kept things moving nicely. It’s a simple thing, but having people around to ask makes a huge difference, especially when travel already feels like it has 400 tiny ways to go wrong.

I booked with National Express after looking up the rules for pets and bikes, and it was straightforward. Pets aren’t allowed unless they’re assistance dogs, and folding bikes need to be packed properly, so at least I knew what to expect before getting to the station. There’s something about it being clearly explained that just makes the whole trip feel less stressful. Staff were friendly too, so I’m happy to give 5 stars.

It was cleaner than I expected, the toilets were in good shape, and there were actually seats available. There’s also a little shop for drinks and snacks, which made the wait a lot easier. The signs were clear enough too, so I wasn’t wandering around confused. Overall, waiting for the coach was way less stressful than I thought it’d be.

The staff were helpful once they got back to me, and to be fair, I did get the bag back in the end, so I can’t complain too much. I just wish the updates had come through a bit faster because not knowing what’s going on is so annoying. Overall, good service, just needs better communication...

Not gonna lie, I was a bit unsure about using National Express late in the evening, but the stop felt safe enough. It was well lit, there were staff around, and everyone seemed to know where to queue. It made the wait a lot less stressful, and I’d definitely use it again.

Having a toilet onboard literally made the whole trip so much easier. It was super convenient and took a lot of stress out of the journey.

National Express is useful for me since the routes actually go to a lot of towns, not just the places everyone’s heard of. I can usually find a coach that gets me close enough without needing to turn the journey into some kind of transport puzzle, which is always a nice surprise.
I’m giving it 4 stars because some of the smaller places have times that feel like they were chosen by someone who enjoys mild inconvenience. But overall, the network is decent, and it’s usually cheaper than dealing with trains and their charming little pricing games
